Peninsula Group Global Day of Giving: Bike Challenge in aid of BUMBLEance
Dublin, Ireland - As part of the first annual Peninsula Group Global Day of Giving, Peninsula Ireland took part in a 24-hour global static-bike relay challenge.
Joining colleagues from Peninsula Group offices around the globe, employees in the Dublin office took 10-minute slots throughout the day, competing to see if they could travel the furthest distance while raising money for their Irish charity partner, BUMBLEance.
About our Irish Charity Partner, BUMBLEance:
BUMBLEance provides a medical transportation system for children who are suffering from long-term illnesses, or who are seriously disabled. Many families around the country, particularly those in rural areas, struggle with getting their sick children to all of their medical appointments and hospital visits, on top of balancing their other care needs.
This is where BUMBLEance steps in. Drivers will collect these children in custom, decorated ambulances and drop them to and from their appointments, creating a safe, caring and fun environment on tough days. The service, which is completely free of charge, puts children at ease during their trips, and reduces some of the worry and anxiety that their parents are experiencing.
